Popular artist Dustin Nguyen created this surreal painted cover to Detective Comics #849 (2008). Nguyen worked in ink and watercolor on board. The image features a psychotic knife wielding Hush (Doctor Thomas Elliot) preparing to perform surgery on Batman, who is being dragged to the operating table by two surgical assistants. Dustin Nguyen is an Eisner Award-winning artist who has worked for DC and Wildstorm since 2000. He received much acclaim for his role as the artist on his and Jeff Lemire's creator-owned series, DESCENDER for Image Comics.
